How Bast's and Sehkmet's Path Came To Be

She came back with instructions. This little kitty who escaped into the woods last year. I truly believe that Bast and Sehkmet saved her - with some assistance from Ellen Marie Savage at EarthWater Wellness.
But there was a price to be paid - Henrietta had to study with her Goddesses before they would guide her home.  Henri agreed and studied hard.  However, when push comes to shove, even Powerful Goddesses can’t make a cat do things she doesn’t want to do.  It is with great reluctance that Henri shares anything from her studies,  Perhaps she is just not ready. Henri learned how to fend for herself - hunting, hiding, running, watching, waiting for the right moments.  She learned how to truly be independent but she also eventually learned that you don’t have to do everything yourself.  It’s ok to ask for help.  She finally allowed herself to come home.

Henrietta came back with instructions for a labyrinth dedicated to the Cat Goddesses - Sehkmet and Bast.  So we found a design that was very close to two cats with their tails entwined. Sehkmet and Bast are closely linked.  Some researchers even saying that they are one.  The North and South and different Dynasty's of Egypt do seem to mix up their powers.  Suffice it to say that they are Daughters of the Great God Ra. They were originally vengeful and angry usually protective in nature. Their agenda was Justice. They became protective in a more motherly way in later history.

When you walk Bast’s Path ask for Spirit to help you.  Ask the Goddesses for direction.  Ask for their Blessings.  Find your own spiritual center as your feet move over the ground.  But do not forget to thank them.  These are Goddesses who expect Respect.
